oppskrift eplemos // recipe apple jam

Vi har plommer, bær, urter og mye annet spiselig i hagen vår, men aller mest stas synes jeg likevel det er med epler. Det er så mye godt som kan lages av epler og en av mine favoritter er eplemos. Jeg lager i mengder og fryser ned, sånn at vi har til brødet og osten eller desserten gjennom hele vinteren.

We`ve got plums, berries, herbs and many other edible things in our garden, but most of all I love our apples. There are so many delicious things to be made from apples and one of my favorites is apple jam.

 

 

 

 

Ingredienser:                                                                 Ingredients:

Ca. 1,5 kg skrelte epler                                                1,5 kg peeled apples    

3 dl vann                                                                        3 dl water

Vaniljestang                                                                   Vanilla bean

Kanelstang                                                                     Cinnammon stick

Ca. 500 g sukker (jeg brukte brunt sukker)              500 g sugar ( I used brown sugar)

 

 

Fremgangsmåte:

 

Skrell eplene og fjern kjernehusene. Skjær eplene i biter og ha de i en kasserolle. Hell i vannet og legg oppi vaniljestang og kanelstang. Kok opp og la eplene koke i ca 30 min. Tilsett deretter sukkeret og la det hele koke i noen minutter til. Fjern kanelstangen og vaniljestangen og tøm eplemosen over i kokte glass.

How to:

Peel the apples and remove the core. Cut the apples into pieces and put them in a boiler. Pour the water in and put in the vanilla bean and the cinnamon stick. Bring it to boil and allow the apples to cook for about 30 min. Then add sugar and cook for a few more minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick and vanilla bean and pour the jam into sterile jars.
